Default want to install a 4 barrel intake help

My dad has a 1971 Camaro, he wants to get more horsepower but keep it stock chevy as it would have come in 1971.
He wants to get a 4 barrel intake from a 1971 Camaro (found one on Ebay) and get the correct 4 barrel carb to go with it.

So his question is will the 4 barrel intake bolt right on his original 350 in place of his stock 2 barrel intake?
His other question is will the throttle linkage from the 2 barrel work on the 4 barrel?

Yes, the intake will be a direct replacement.

The linkage may work, but chances are you will have to modify it a bit.

Probably only a minor adjustment to the linkage. The 4 barrel will probably have to be a correct Qjet if he's going to want to keep it all factory looking. He'll also need the correct 4 brl. air cleaner.

Don't be surprised if you do not get much of a power increase. It takes more than a bigger carb to see much gain on an otherwise stock engine.

I wouldn't say that. I helped my brother swap from a 2 to 4 barrel on his 68 Camaro, and the difference in performance was night and day.

Yep. Almost every SBC I ever switched from 2 brl. to 4 brl. had a noticeable change in performance.

That's not a link, so can't see any carb.

It's a link on my end, takes me to the ebay listing. A rebuild with a shot of clear coat on it (didn't originally come that way).
Do you suspect it's a restamp? Are you trying to building a "numbers correct" car? I wouldn't worry whether the carb is authentic or not, as the suffix code on your engine would list it as a 2 barrel engine. For what you're doing, numbers don't matter.
