Turning signals dont work

I see the rod and it does move and I also hear the clicking sound. I do get lights and power throughout. I also followed the rod to the switch and it seems that all the wires are attached. I cant believe that the switch went bad. How about the park indicator on the trans. I have the floor console apart and see that all the wires are connected to the shifter. Thanks for your help

You didn't short anything out when you had the steering wheel off did you?
Also check your neutral safety switch on the shifter. Wiggle the shifter forward and back and make sure it's jammed up into park all the way. If necessary, jump a wire across the safety switch to bypass it so you at least know if that's the problem or not.

I figured it out! I was not tightening the screws on the steering columns tight enough and so when I would turn the ignition it did not make contact/allow the rod to move deep enough. Thanks all
