.....time to start decoding numbers so I can find out exactly what this tranny is then lol.

You should just continue with a 700r4 swap. There longer and need a shorter driver shaft and moving the crossmember back. But then you have OD.

Thanks for the video. Just a quick question, can I install a 350 lockup as I would a regular 350 without using the electrical lock up plug?

Also a lockup comverter will not work on a non lockup tranny, and vice versa...

cool, I've got all the info I need. I'll probably get the tranny put in early next week. I'll let you know how it goes.

patc makes a crossmember for the change. i still dont understand why the 700r4 would not bolt up unless he was trying to use a 350 lockup converter. 700r4 is a lockup converter as well. anyways good luck and hope it works out.

The trans is actually a lock up 350 with the proper lock up conveter. I had never dealt with a lock up trans before so the electric plug and kickdown threw me off. Bad info from a few people made me believe it was a 700r4. But the forum helped and it's all good now so I should have it bolted in early next week. Thanks
