sumped gas tank opinions
Hey everyone! My old tank was leaking, so while I have it out I'm going to replace it. I need one with a sump, so I'm going to buy a sump and a tank and have a shop weld it on. I don't know much about fuel systems, so is there any particular material that I should be looking for? I found this tank on summit: http://store.summitracing.com/partde...p;autoview=sku does that look good? I'm also going to replace the straps and the sending unit while I'm at it.. so I'll pick those up from summit too I guess.

Stainless steel is prefered as it dosen't spark when hit.
Take a look at

Am getting one for my 71 sooner or later...kinda pricey, but they are very high quality.

I had a custom, stainless sump tank built for my 80 camaro. From Rick's Hot Rods, 200E. Sunset Rd, Suite K. ElPaso TX. 79922 Ph. 915-760-4388 Good quality, Heavy built. Sending unit installed, Plumbed for return line. $$$ around $750. Straps in place of stock tank.
