Starting a '77 Project
Hello everyone,
I apologize if this has been asked already. I've looked around some and still couldn't find what I was looking for exactly.
I am about to start restoring my 77 Camaro and wanted suggestions as to what to start on first.
The body is in good shape except a quarter panel will need to be patched and the passenger door skin replaced. The interior is the worst and needs to be redone. I will be putting a new engine in it and most likely a new tranny. What should I tackle first?
I was thinking about getting the quarter panels fixed first then rebuilding the doors. After that, I will re do the interior and trunk. Next would be the engine and tranny then finish it with the spoiler, rims, hood, etc.
What does everyone think?
Thanks for everyone's opinions and advice.

Well first off Welcome
I would do all your mechanical and suspension first then interior then body and paint. This way your motor and drive train is all done and you wont be scratching or denting new body and paint. And you wont be tracking in grease onto your redone interior
Now lets see the pics lol

Welcome! I would agree with 80R/S in getting the body and mechanical done first, but I'd start with getting all the body panels straight, then do all the mechanical, and then go back to the body and do the paint. I would remove the interior before painting, and finally I would finish with interior so that none of it is in when the body and paint work was done. If you do the interior before the paint and body work, you will have to mask it all off and risk overspray and sanding dust al over the inside. Plus you wont get paint on all the places the plastic panels overlap and if they ever shift the old color will show.
