i put some 3in Infintys in the dash to go with the 6x9s in the back in my 72 and it sounds great. i thought about cutting a hole in the door panel or in the console but i didnt. im not sure if its the same for yours or not.

you can put one speaker under the dash and two in the back but thats about it,my setup is two 6x9 440W pioneers, hooked up to a pioneer stero, the trunk acts like a big box and i can get some good thump from my speakers with out a amp or subs, but i'm think i'm going to get a amp just to help out the stero.

The previous owner of mine cut round holes in the curved plastic piece in front of the lower air ventsby the floor and screwed the speaker covers into the plastic. The speakers were removed of course before I got the car (it was a repo)so I cant attest to the sound.
I like 73camaroSS also have 2 6x9s (polk momos) in the rear deck, and 2 polk momo 10s in the trunk, 3 amps and an alpine deck. I really dont even care about the fronts not being there, It sounds great the way it is......
