i have a 81 z28 with a 383 stroker n i use the acdelco regular plugs and it sparks just fine. i know i had a mazda rx7 that i used the bosh platinum+4 plugs with 4 prongs and it does increase the HP, but that was a 1.1L rotary motor pushin around 195HP with a 5 speed,i would smoke 5.0 mustangs all the time!

bosch makes a good plug

bosch plugs definatly are a good plug. but what i dont understand is why people hate champion plugs. i work at an auto parts store and when i tell people i have a certain plug in champion its always the same "AWW MAN I DONT WANT THOSE" i dont get it. i use champion plat. in my car and the thing is awesome. please give me some insight on the champion hatred....i mean they have been around for over 100 years....

HAHAHA lawn mower plugs! yeah i think your right! seems that every year you have to change them damn things, i bet the auto plugs are diff in a way but i think that is a good point. i have had champion plugs and they seem to get dirty or fouled up quicker than many other plugs. exspecialy in lawn mowers. now in all my lawnmowers and small engines i run a ngk plugs.

I installed the ngk v racing plug we changed nothing else on the car other than header gaskets the weather conditions were similar, The car was running high 8.5s in the 1/8th with the old plug and it ran mid 8.4s and a 8.34 with the ngks. I know its not a true apple to apple comparison but ther certionally seemed better to me. The old plugs were autolites non platinum.

im presuming you have 14mm taper seat short 5/8" reach plugs .

NGK BP7FS or BPR7FS if you want resistor plugs , or you can run BP6FS BPR6FS .

CHAMPION RV9YC or RV12YCare resistors plugs , or BL9Y non resistor .

HR8BC are the bosch plugs in resistor and i think its H8BC for non resistor ..

AC are ACR45T ACR44T .

theres obviously lots more that i dont know about and i guess these plugs are more older styles
