was wonderin if any of these came with a 4speed. if so which model. THANKS for any info

 

Z 28/s and Rally sports came with the 4 speed.

 

also have seen a few 79 berlinetta's with 4 speed and 350 engine..

 

OK....how can you tell by the vin number whether or not my car was a Z-28, berl, or camaro?

 

If the second DIG is a Q then it is a regular Camaro

 

I'm pretty sure a 4 speed was an option for any Camaro those Years.

 

Q is the sport coupe, S was the Type LT from 73-78, then it was the Berlinetta from 79-80. The 81 vin is a bit different. S is still the Berlinetta, but, the sport coupe code is P. Check your Year One catalog, it has 2 pages of vin decoding charts.

 

ive never heard of a camaro not being offered with a manual transmission of any engine size except in the late 80s 350s
