Default question bout z28 front end...

I was stumbling across info on tires for my 85 z28 and I ran into an interesting article.

http://andyz28.com/3rdGen/article/BodyIntegrity.htm

Now this really made sense to me, as well.. my door hinge in my drivers side needs some work and add in the fact I have no weatherstripping the thing is in there nice and loose, but that's one thing to address....

The real thing is the stress to the front end from 245/zr16 tires. The previous owner threw rims on that have this size and I have always noticed that during sharp turns at really low speeds I definitely feel my poor baby straining. No real creaks or anything, but I hear it.

Now the question is, what are the chances that z28s in 85 had this "wonder bar" as well? I'm unable to go look at my car right this second to see if the previous owner had placed one in. (I currently have it at the shop due to a crack that started near the gear box that needs welding... THough I wonder if it's related to the door idea.

Thanks in advance!

If you use the proper rims, the size of the tires does not cause hard steering or stress. However, if the wheel offset is off, it definitely causes ill handling and front end stress.
I have no idea what a "wonder bar" is, but some one on the forum may be able to help.

Im betting the wheel offset is off then. When the wheel is cut hard to the left or right when I am in a parking spot and try to pull out (new york city, hard to avoid it here), I feel it staggering and struggling as I move forward (kinda like the tire is skipping along the ground a bit)
