I have a 1978 Z28 Camaro with a 350 + holley 600 4 barrl carb.

Works great normally, but when i press on the gas hard from a dead stop, the engine slows and starts to stall (sometimes does) for a couple seconds, but then works normally again and there is a nice burst of power and usually chirps the tires. Thanks for anyone who can help!

 

Check the stroke on the accelerator pump, may need to squirt more fuel to get rid of the bog. Also, the carb secondaries may be set to come in too soon. Are they vacuum or mechanical?
