power window relay 78 camaro

Default power window relay 78 camaro

she is my daily driver and the only thing not perfect is the power window.it aint workin.some days no power to the wires at the switch cluster other times yes it works.power off the ignition relay so I think restable relay but where is this relay mounted what does it look like ect please and thankyou

Default now its working

didnt work on the way to my job went to the store for lunch and its working dont know for how long but any help would be great

Wish I could help, but I've never had a Camaro with power windows. I'd look in the area of the fuse block if it were me. Normally they put relays in that area, close to the source of power.

it was behind the heater plenum

A common problem with in-door electrics is a broken wire that passes through the rubber conduit at the hinge pillar. Wires can eventually break from getting old and brittle, and from bending back and forth so many times over the years. Next time it acts up, grab that conduit and tweak it back and forth while trying the window switch. If it magically works, you have a broken wire in there and need to go fishing for it.

Default well i thought ihad it fixxed

replaced the relay didnt fix it read your reply wiggled the little rubber boot worked opened up the panel and found a bad conection that was shorting out.thank you thank you thank you.and working great now thanks again
