Default what do you think

ok so my camaro has been in paint since july third last year but there is more to the story than that i was looking for places around my area to paint it for pretty affordable when a guy that my uncle david knows said that he would do it for 700 dollars and i have seen some of his work that looks absolutely gorgeous like show car quality. hes taking the doors off of it, the trunk the spoiler the hood painting the inside and out of everything. now to the dilemma he works full time at a pipe plant and hes got 8 kids. and about two weeks into the project he had to have two stents put in his heart and was out of commission for about a month. then he got it down to bare metal and started fiberglassing pinholes when a 300 pound pipe fell and cut off the front off his right foot so he was out for another 2 months and now i have been without my car for about 8 months and i know the car will be magnificent when it returns and you cant beat the price for such quality work. and i dont want to seem like an *** but i fear it will be a few more months before i get the car back.

If his work is that good, then it should be worth the wait, although i think personally i would ask him if he would cut the price a bit only because of the extremely long wait time.

He's only charging you $700? I wouldn't even begin to think of asking him to charge you less! He's had some pretty bad luck, but as long as it's done within a year I'd wait and cut the guy some slack. Seems like he's been through enough already.
Considering the time you've already waited, a few more months doesn't seem out of line. Maybe you should give him a call and ask if there's anything you can do to help him finish the car. I'm sure he'd appreciate that, and might get the hint that you're anxious without being hard on him.

yea every time we go over there hes always really apologetic and i get him whatever he needs to do it but its not his fault it all happened and yes he is only charging me seven hundred dollars so i cant ask him to lower the price on something hes basicly doing for free i just always did all the work myself and i havent been without the car for longer than 2 days since i was like fifteen but i have to be understanding of the fact that sh*t happens and theres nothing anyone can do about it thats just gonna make it all the more special to me when i get it back
