The overflow hose does go into the bottle, underneath. I got it at napa, it was a "universal" bottle. The hose is too long, you are right. I just havent ever cut it shorter. Its still a work in progress. The engine rarely goes above 200 degrees, because my digital dash reads the temp within a degree, I flip the switch to turn on the fans. It runs so cool that Ive never seen coolant even make it to the bottle. You are certainly right that a shroud would keep a concentrated air flow through the rad, and that the electric fans probably are unnecessary, and would restrict air flow if I were using a shroud. Personally, I like to use some new stuff in my old cars, and I like the looks of the belt driven fan and the function of the electrical one, so it works for me.

also the electric fan is a million times more efficiant than the mechanical fan. alsoooo the fact that those electic fans have a shrowd around them it really is not blocking air, because the are is being centerd and hits the mechaincal fan, thos fans are flippin sweet.

I'm not disagreeing with you, but I just think that he should switch the electric fans to the front of the radiator. it would also look a lot better

Im thinking we should do a poll on electric fans. Puller or pusher? Any interest?

1969ss the thing is with that paticular fan. it would block all the fresh air hitting the rad. yeah the air would go threw the space for the fan. but all the areas where there is a "shroud" for the electirc fans is now being blocked. that fan being on the side it is. is sort of like a venturi in a carb. it gets centered and pushed threw so all the air still goes threw the entire radiator.
