Cost wise for complete heads, they're nearly identical.
These heads were compared head to head on another forum. From what I've read, most prefer the AFR's. 400 horsepower is achievable with both heads though, along with other mods.

Here is a afr vs ported bow tie test. Its not shocking that its all over but the crying after 4grand.

CHP did a full test of about every head available. They also broke it down into runner vol. I was content that my Canfields were in second or third. I'll try and find that article.

^ Yes it is interesting to note in that CHP dyno comparison how the AFR heads overtake the GM's above 4k rpm. And AFR's literally kill them at the high rpm's. GM's are slightly better in the low rpm range, but since my engine is still loafing at 4k rpm, I would opt for AFR for overall performance. Others may find a benefit with the GM heads, if their engine doesn't spend much time that far above 4k. But the difference in the lower range isn't exactly earth shattering.

The Jegs heads are actually Canfields in disguise.
Mine have been through the wringer but back when they were almost stock they put a Chevy II in the high 9s. Sitting on a lil ole 350 to boot.

I heard and read rumors that Patriot inflates their flow numbers on their cylinder heads.
