Hey Jason, I saw an engine you might want to go look at. It's at All American Classics on 152nd and 4th Plain. It's a big block 454, and it's sitting in their showroom. Didn't ask for particulars, so you might want to call and get details of what it is, warranty, and price. Might be a cheap alternative.

yeah i know but i dont know if there closed or not on thanksgiving. i guess they probably are so i will call on friday

They do have some nice engines in there but they're usually pretty pricey for used stuff.

Yea, I've been over there a couple times, but never found what I was looking for, so not familiar with their prices. I was looking for the missing window trim on this trip, but no luck. 4-5 early 2nd gens, and they all had either no chrome, or like 3 of them; missing just the piece I needed!

Bummer,they do have a lot of stuff nobody else has.
I bought a stock grill for my '78 GMC there,at the time no repops were available for GMC and I didn't want a generic grill or a Chevy.
Cost me $80,twice what a new generic costs and more than a new repop Chevy but I got what I wanted.

i called about the 454 and they said it wasn't tagged yet and didn't know the price or the specs yet
