I have concerns about buying a 79 Camaro and bringing it to Ca in regards to the smog check requirements. The car was built at the Van Nuys plant. Does that mean it will pass Ca smog check? Are the requirements different for older cars?
I know the cutoff is 1976 or older to be smog exempt.
Anyone have experience with this?

I would check the laws for the state to make sure .My 1979 Z-28 was also built at the Van Nuys plant. But mine is a Washington State car. So it may be different. Good luck to you.
