Default Backlite stock gauges

I have been keeping up with Daniel at Gaugeworks'. A few months ago he posted a pic of a set of T/A gauges he did for a SEMA car. Anyhow he mentioned working on getting something for our cars. Well he has. If your not familiar with the term backlite or backlight. They are just the numbers lite up on the gauge face instead of the light bulb shining on the face to illuminate the gauge. These have a light behind the face shining through the digit.

As everyone here knows our cars have less than easy to read gauges at night. This is what I'm looking to getting. Along with a oil pressure gauge where the clock is, a 150 speedo, 6500 rpm redline and silver faces.

Here ya go. These are just the prototype. Tell me what you think. I'll let him know.

Very nice, and easy to read! Wonder how the prices are? If I ever relocate mine from the pods I'll probably make up a custom insert and simply install aftermarket gauges in it. Seems to be doable at under $200 with me doing all the fab, and buying the gauges right. I'd reuse my tach and buy the rest new, then sell my pods for a return on the project.
I like the way my aftermarket gauges are lit on the Austin, but don't care for the Autometer tach's lighting:

Before the backlights ccame along. I was quoted $200 to have mine calibrated, redline set at 6500, set the od to zero, and replace the clock with a pressure gauge that looks factory. Not bad. You can by the decals and do the work yourself too.

I think they look great. I just installed the pod guages I had into the stock dash. They were the same Dia, so I made up mounting brkts. The lights that were on the guage pods moved with them and Illuminate them very well.

The 2nd Gen Camaros really have the perfect dash panel to do a cutom setup. I love the look of a flat panel in place of the stock one, with aftermarket gauges set into it. I still might change my gauge pods someday and do a custom panel.
