Default Any thoughts on the 1981 Camaro?

Hi all. I am new to this forum. I am looking at purchasing a 1981 Camaro, but not sure of it is a good year to buy.

Any thoughts on this would be great. Thanks.

Good year as in 1981 Camaro, or good year as in buying it in 2012?
All collector cars are down in value now, so it's a good year to buy any of them. As for the '81, I think it's about as good or desireable as any mid to late 2nd gen Camaro. The '70-'73 seem to be the most expensive, and desireable, but from '74-'81 they seem to run about the same for equal condition and optioned cars.

They're pretty good looking cars, better than the other mid to late 2nd gens imo. And very affordable, $3k will get you a very decent one. Do you have your eye on one yet?
