3972110 intake manifold

Default 3972110 intake manifold

found an aluminum gm sbc rectangular port intake manifold with 3972110 part number, i've seen these things from few hundred to 1K plus. how do i know how much this things really worth? it has the winters emblem on it and an "oil shield/heat shield" underneith that is present. ALSO has "123456789" casted underneith the shield. any help here?

It is a fairly rare 1970 only LT-1 Camaro/Vette intake, and it's worth whatever you can sell it for. There are some of them out there on ebay now, you can keep an eye on them to get an idea. I think the ones asking $1,000 and up think they are holding onto gold though. I thought the 1-9 numbers were there for date marking. Is there any mark by one of the numbers?

manifold has few markings underneith but dont look factory.

That X by the 5 looks factory (X marks the spot). 5th month perhaps? But what are those other three glyphs? Looking at other manifolds like yours, I haven't spotted any date casting on the top side of those either, even though there's a flat pad right after the GM.

You could start bidding at 50 bucks and it's worth will be dictated by demand of those wanting to buy it. That is if you're going to put it on an auction site.
