2nd gen tranny need help!!

Default 2nd gen tranny need help!!

i have a 1981 camaro berlinetta with a 267 V8, i have called everywhere and no one seems to be able to help me, the tranny went just went out and i know its a TH350, but they said i need to know the bolt pattern and the wire lockup harness. any input?

Are you trying to BUY another transmission?? SURE about that engine SIZE?? Did you tell them what car it was in??

yes, yes, and yes, everywhere i call keeps telling me its too old to know, and the people im wanting to buy the trans from say they need that other info.

In 81 they started using the th350c which is a metric tranny and uses a lock up converter.As far as the bolt pattern,i believe it is the same as a regular th350 which is the standard chevy bolt pattern.

thanks for all the help, the only other thing that they where wanting to know is, if its a 1, 2, or 3 wire lockup harnees

That harness i'm not sure on,someone on here will surely know though.I forgot to mention on the bolt pattern though,if you are getting a new tranny just make sure you measure your pattern,as i had forgot they used the same tranny's in buick,olds,and pontiacs as well,basically the same transmissions,but a different bolt pattern which is probably why they asked you about the bolt pattern,so just watch they dont give you the wrong one.

They will be the only wires going into the tranny. Driverside I think.

They will be coming out of the pan area somewhere.
