Default 1980 wheel trim ring question

Hi Folks,

I am wondering whether the trim rings on my '80 sport coupe are 14 x 7 or 14 x 6. The car originally came with 205/75R/14 tires. The rally wheel code is ZJ7 (UD).

Also, if I end up purchasing new trim rings, do you have any recommendations on where/what to buy? Or, do you think I should just replace the rally wheel/trim ring combo all together? I've got BF Goodrich tires on there now with the original rally wheels. The trim rings are all scratched up.

Thanks,
Mike

I have 205/75R/14 BF Goodrich tires on my '80 Berlinetta. I used 14x6 trim ring, but I'm almost sure that was the original size.

As for where to get them, I went to NPD they have stainless steel rings that are really nice for $25 each. I've seen seen them cheaper on eBay though. Hope I brought you some clarity.

Thanks for the info, that's a surprisingly cheap price. What's confusing me is that 1970 - 1981 (ZJ7) rally wheels seem to be matching up with 14 x 7 on this site.

Camaro Wheels and Tire Information

Maybe both sizes will fit.

I'm certain both sizes will fit easily. I actually see sets for 14" going for under $100.
