It can go the other way (2...3...4..5..6...etc.) if you get a professional to look at it before it's too late. Just get someone who's a good Chevy mechanic to diagnose it and adjust it before it's too late. especially if you want to keep it numbers matching!

Default well

the point i was making was i come on here for advice and help so when i see someone post i usually thinks its something that will help. When the same guy posts numbers counting down i dont really see the point, looks more like a joke then anything. I get the message its more about rebuilding it and whats wrong with it then just blowing up, i mean no **** its gonna blow up. Everything you guys mentioned thus far didnt really do much the carb cleaner in the carb etc. Its only gonna be on the road another 2 weeks anyway and then its gonna be put away till march by then ill have more then enough to have it rebuilt tip top at the place near by. Oh well lol

You've gotten lots of good advice, but it's always tough to troubleshoot a car via the internet. Even when I'm working on one right in front of me everything I try doesn't work, but eventually I get them all running well. Sometimes it's obvious, but it really depends on the input given, so a good understanding of what's what makes it much easier to diagnose.
Just like any good computer, whatever you plug in is directly related to what comes out.

Hey nomad im gonnna say boom or pow when you start having engine problems and we will see how you react too ok

Anyhow i believe its just a worn out fuel pump now afterall going to replace it tomarrow as the motors been surging a lot under load like its going to stall, this would explain the spark knock i think.

When my engine goes, I'll have already done the autopsy before I post here wondering why.

Well good for you, but see unfortunately for you my engine didnt go pow and countdown from 5 to 2 and then blowup like you thought it would did it? See the whole purpose of me posting a thread and asking questions was because i wanted to find out the problem. I knew that engine wasnt going to blow up because it didnt configure with what you guys were telling me. If i wanted a smart *** jerk off to tell me that it was going to blow up and give me figures as to when it was going to go out on me i would have went to advanced auto or somewhere else, I took your advice and it was wrong. The cars running fine now didnt take a whole rebuild either, just a simple fuel pump. So your autopsy on my car was wrong.

As far as im concerned if your gonna give out lame **** advice like you did to me and you dont need to post on here as you say then why are you on here to give out advice thats crap? Dont bother answering just dont post on my thread anymore ok, id appreciate it i almost wasted $3000 cause of you lol
