My thinking is I will loosen the valve. Not clean the carb. Doesn't matter really, this motor is only moments away from a death rattle.

Well i got the carb cleaner and did what you guys said but it didnt do anything, i notice now after putting on ear muffs that the carb is not backfiring through the carb, its definitely back firing or igniting somewhere in the intake/valve area. The problem didnt go away. So, all i can say is this really sucks, I am planning on taking it to a motor shop here in a few weeks, my one friend says it could be anything from a bad cam, to a bad lifter/floating lifter, to a bad valve.

engine rebuild time eh? thats what i was thinking, it only does it under a heavy load so i can still drive it around a bit here and there but yeah i know, had the car 2 months and it already has a great engine lol, whats up with that.

Default well

the little bit of body work it needs is being done on the 12th-19th of this month. After which ill be dropping it off at a place called Muellers who are the best in the area for engine work. Really though, is that just how these are, they are good one day and the next thing you know then engine starts getting tired out? Why at only 75K miles, i heard the cams in these years were really weak, but how true is that?
