194 heads?

whats the average price for a machine shop to resurface the heads?

Just resurface and nothing else? Usually around $50 in my area, but that's if I pull them apart first. Might be another $20 if you have them pull the valves and springs.

I wish. I was into mine for over 700 after replacing two valves, guides, and resurfaced. Best thing to do is call.

I can buy fully refurbished 2.02 or 1.94 heads here from a machine shop for $300 exchange, and he doesn't care which smallblock head I use as an exchange. He puts new SS valves, all new hardened seats, and all new valve guides and seals.

I got my heads redone for 165. The only thing they reused were the valves and springs.
