Default 194 heads?

i just looked at the build sheet for my camaro and the motor came from s+s motors. it says it has 194 intake heads, flat top pistons, performance cam(?) flat lifters, 4 bolt main. not sure of the cam, and don't know much about those heads!! any advice about swapping out those heads.

Vortecs, the best bag for your buck. Less than 500 bills.

You'll need a intake, sorry I forgot.

The way that's worded (since the intake is specified), can easily refer to having 1.94" intake valves. Not necessarily Vortec heads. You might want to remove a valve cover, find the casting number on top of the head, and lookemup.

Same casting number on both?
Or is it like an A & B for lerft and right or L & R or either head can go on either side of the engine?

Im gonna pull a cover tomorrow and see whats what under there.

Yes same casting number for both sides. You would need to be concerned about a left and right fitment if there are accessory mounting holes only on one end of the head.

If you have 1.94 heads I wouldn't spend the money to upgrade to Vortec heads. They are better, but not enough so to justify spending the extra $500 if it were me.
