I just purchased a new autometer colbalt c2 fuel gauge to go into my new console with the 4 gauge 2 1/16 " mounting. I will wire it dierctly to fuel sender and discounect the one in the dash and leave it in place unti i find a tic toc to replace the original fuel gauge. I do belive i either have a intermitting bad ground or sender wire problem because it works intermittingly.

Its been a few months since the last post in this thread, but I just had the same thing happen to my gas gauge tonight. Its at a 3 o'clock position with the key on, however when the key is turned off the needle does go back down like it wants to function. The needle ranges from between 2 and 3 o'clock.

I have the same 3:00 issue with my guage. I bought a new one and it came packaged at 3:00. I have run a direct ground to the cluster and both guages stay at 3:00, power on or off.

Default Great information and knowledge

Hello every one. I just joined this site. I just want to say, Wow! All the great information on here is wonderful. A lot of my issues with my '67 Camaro SS have been covered, and I felt great with other issues that I worked out my self have also been covered. So thank you for your kind and thoughtful messages I have read. I wish I could have found this site last week as I was working on throttle issues. I'm going to dig in and start working on all the awesome info I learned yesterday, so thank you gentlemen. If I can help, I will. Take care
