Default Edelbrock carb?

I traded for an edelbrock 600cfmcarb. One of those package deals. Well I got it on my 350 and it's running but way too rich. I know nothing about edelbrock carbs. Can someone please help me?

They are pretty much like any other carb. Adjustments are made the same ways. Make sure the car has had a good tune up and timing all set before messing around with the carb. Manuals can be bought at your local auto parts store.

I'm sorry, after reading your response and the rest of my question, Irelized why no one responded. If I could get your ear one more time please. My problem is that I don't understand the 2 adjustment screws. I've been told 2 different things. 1- one controls the fuel and the other controls the air 2- one controls the right side and the other the left. WHAT do I believe? I'm still waiting a responce from Edelbrock but I want " your" advise. The hot roders that were tooning carbs when I was dreaming of owning one. Thanks for you response.

I'm guessing you are talking about the idle mixture screws in the front of the carb. If so they limit the amount of gas that passes through to the jets, then changes the air to fuel ratio.

Thank you for the responce. I was wondering if one controled the air and the other controled the fuel. Someone told me that is how it worked with Edelbrock carbs. Thats not the case. each screw controls both the air/fuel mixture for the respective side. Thanks to all that responded!
