Default big block tall deck conversion

i have a 69 Camaro small block and pulled engine out the engine to put in a 511 cubic inch tall deck , i put big block frame mounts in and nothing lines up as far as the engine mounts . i going to put on long style engine mounts hopefully this works . anybody ever encounter the same problem , what did you do ?

Did you try to re-use your SB mount cushions? Apparently they won't work with BB mount brackets. I did a SB to BB swap in my 69 over 40 years ago and the BB dropped right in, but on the SB mount cushions.

I did the same about the same time ago,if memory serves all I changed besides the headers was the mounts on the engine block and as you said it dropped right in.

I hope you got a great deal on that 511 and that you have a cowl induction hood. Talk deck BBs are kind of a pain. Better than a while back now that GMPP sells 572s and other tall deck motors, but standard deck is a whole lot easier to deal with.
