Hello,

I have a console fuel gauge cluster with 3 other instruments in a 68 SS convertible. Temp, voltage and something else. Can't recall offhand. The fuel gauge is something I'm curious about. When the tank is fully topped off the fuel gauge shows just past full. It will be like this until there's about 8 gallons left, then it starts going down. Why does it stay pegged full after over 1/2 the tank is consumed? Any ideas?
