427 options
Just took my 67 out and raced my buddies 2014 ss Camaro the other day. It was fun but my 427 didn't keep up very well though. The new Camaro is pretty fast.
So now I want to keep up. I have a 427 naturally aspirated with a 800 cfm holley carb and a tremec 5 spd trans. Was the biggest O/D I could find. So it actually does pretty well on fuel mileage cruising along at 65-70mph. I'm not interested in a blower or anything sticking out of the hood. I really like the pro touring look. So the classic drag car isn't really me. I'm also not really interested in changing my gearing on the car. I really just need more go out of the motor. Is it worth putting the money into the 427. only has 18k miles.
Things I have considered is a turbo, fuel injection system, more aggressive cam. Thought I'd open it up for some suggestions.
