Default 1969 cowl induction hood

I recently purchased a 1968 camaro convertible. It came with what looks to be a 1969 cowl induction hood. The hood looks old, has a bit of rust at the edges and underneath and has been painted before I think (paint is cracked in a few areas on top). I have looked to try and find some kind of ID numbers in the hood but cant seem to locate any. I am hoping this is a real or over the counter GM hood. It has all the right holes for insulation clips, the cowl flap at the back, etc. I would like to know if there is any other way to distinguish the real deal as opposed to an aftermarket piece.
Thanks for the help.

i think the only real differance between a factory hood and a aftermarket is the metal thickness. the new aftermarket hoods use thinner metal than the originals

Thank you camaroboy68SS.
Well looks like unless I find out the factory metal guage thikness there is no way of knowing. I know the hood is pretty heavy. But I am sure that is all relative. Thanks for the response.
