3in. cowl induction fiberglass hood ...



yea i got the hood from ebay ,it has a few fittmit issuses but all an all not to bad . first piece to the build is done with many more to go .lol

On the side shot you can see it's definitely high along the fender. Is that the fitment issue you're referring to? I presume you haven't tried to drop it by messing with the hinges or the latch and front snubber adjustments yet? The fender/nose to hood gaps (that I can see) look ok though. Should look good with a little more work.

That's a great price! All fiberglass hoods have fitment problems, so nothing new there. You'll find the little rubber side supports will hit on the hood and cause it to not match the contour of your fenders. It's a matter of sliding them out of their keyhole slots and either running a belt sander across the mating surface that touches the hood, or grinding on the hood to clear. Always better to do the rubber pieces, as you don't want to do the hood unless you have to! If you end up grinding anywhere on the hood to get it to fit better, be sure to coat it with fiberglass resin to seal it afterwards.
I like the looks of the cowl hood on your 3rd gen. Much nicer looking than some of the weird euro looking hoods for that gen Camaro.
