One thing you will want to do when you add some horsepower assuming you're still wanting around the 500 mark is invest in a set of subframe connectors.
If you put that much power to the old girl with a rear end that can take it and hooks up you can actually twist the uni-body.

Thanks for the "411" Y2K. I've seen some videos of those being installed. Kinda scares me cutting into the body and welding and all that.

You can get bolt on connectors, that's what I have on my car.
They are available for 1st gen cars as well, no welding or cutting needed.

A nice choice for a street car IMO and nothing that can't be undone if so desired.

I'm baaaack.... Well, Mike Henson with #hensonracingengines has sent me some nice videos of my powerplant. Not sure how to upload a video but i'm attaching a pic of the Dyno screen which averaged 508/hp w/490lbs of torque.

Now the nervousness is setting in
Time to get it installed. I'll be hitting you guys up for pointers a little more often (I hope). Just waiting to get it home with the tranny attached and start playing with the American Autowire complete wire kit update harness.

Thanks in advance for your assistance.

So did you end up going LS power and what tranny are you using? Still have that 10 bolt?

Hey YK. So I went with a LS1 block with LS 4 internals (minus crank - too short), and aluminum 243 heads. I added a Holley Sniper EFi with an Aeromotive Gen II Stealth tank and pump. I'm going with a 700R4 with a 3200 stall that is also being built by Henson. The rearend is stock at this point. But as soon as I tear it up I'll rebuild with posi 373 gears (once again I'll have Henson help with this). So I'm down to my last 3k until next spring.
So here's my 3 point plan:
1. Start, still need headers and pipes etc.. I would also like the engine to start on its frame in my shop.
2. Steer, thinking I'm needing a new steering box and wheel (looks shotty, and its pretty banged up), I'll also need a vacuum booster to assist the power steering.
3. Stop, need master cylinder, power booster, brake lines, e brake.

As always, suggestions and comments are always welcome.
