I have a 1986 monte carlo SS that I bought a 9 inch direct bolt up rear end for and I would love to make it work for my 68 instead of selling it and buying something else. The 68 seems to have a 8.2 10 bolt non possie in it now that someone slapped in there along the line and I'm not sure how strong they are and don't want to waste money building up something that will just break. Any input on the strength of the 8.2 is greatly appreciated. Eventually my 383 stroker from the same monte carlo ss will be put into the 68 and it made the stock 7.5 crumble!
