I wish I could help you with your spring issue... But how did that come apart anyway? Was it already apart when you took it out, or did you take it apart? If it was already apart, it sounds like it's broke and you'll either have to pull a McGyvar or toss some cash for a new one..

Hope that's not the case, but no, I'm pretty sure the hub doesn't hold it down. Advanced Auto can sell you a replacement for about $50 if you want to buy it locally.

Anyway, found this diagram. hope it helps.

no i took it apart because they have to come out to get to the switch in the column.
