Value of a 1968 camaro that was originally a firebird
halfbreeds are always a tough sell, the camaro guys wont want it because it aint really a camaro,AND the firebird guys wont want because of all that chevy stuff .good luck with that one IMHO i would just part it out
My guess is someone wanted a Camaro bad, but came across a Firebird project cheap. I bet the rear either isn't changed, or is done by installing Camaro tailights into the Firebird tail panel.
I personally wouldn't buy it for any price because it's always going to be a tough sell. Would have been a much easier sell if they had left it Firebird and put a 454 in it.

As you can see there are quite a few discrepancies as far as emblem and bumper placement. After looking at the pics, yes the bumper is placed a little off but no as far as that gap would leave. Unless you tilted the bumper way up as well as moved it about an inch up you would never get it to sit at the bottom of the grill where it's supposed to be. Something just isn't right about it. Also, maybe it's just the angle and the reflection but something crazy seems to be going on with that quarter panel that isn't there with either the real Camaro or Firebird. Even the fender flares on that corner aren't as far out as they should be. Even the Firebird has them larger. I hate to say it but the car is like Gorn says. Good only for a daily driver to anyone who knows these cars and not worth close to what a true Camaro would be with a quality restoration.
What does it say on the title/registration, Camaro or Firebird? What about vin and trim tags, Camaro or Firebird? I'm thinking I wouldn't touch it unless I was building a drag car or got it cheap enough to part it out. I do wish we could see the rear.
