Talking Searching for two 1st generation camaros i owned

I owned a 1967 six cylinder automatic camaro which was originally owned by my mother. It was purchased at Richardson Cheverolet in giles county Va in 1967 new. I sold it in Roanoke Va in the early 1980's and have no idea what happened to it. Dont have the vin number or license #. It was originally insured by State Farm insurance company in Giles county. I also owned a 1968 327 camaro with modified engine. Had holly 650 carb and crane roller rocker arms with a hurst competition shifter. Sold it in giles county va approx 1976 in the springtime of the year. Trying to locate and repurchase these vehicles. Insured by state farm also at the time. Do not have vin or license number. Thanks in advance for anyone who has some suggestions on how to find them. Thanks

Well we get these types of posts often albeit not usually two cars from the same person.
Sadly chances are slimmer than a needle in a haystack of ever finding either car and that's if they even still exist decades later.
Without a vin number it's nearly impossible,if you have some old pics that might help but again even if these cars are still out there most likely they've been changed over the years several times and probably don't resemble what you remember.
If you do Facebook there are many Camaro pages including many that are regional and or 1st gen specific, posting there will reach many more owners than all the forums online put together and in a local page to the area where you last saw these cars maybe your story and if you have them some old pics might ring a bell with someone.
Best of luck in your search, usually folks here will suggest that you buy a similar car and restore it to what you once had as a tribute because it's very doubtful you'll find your car/s.

What are the chances that a stock inline 6 have stayed the same since the early 80's? Most inline 6's were converted to V8 or used for parts to fix a V8. If you don't have a VIN what are the chances you would even know it was the car if you drove by it? These cars were designed to last 5-8 years from the factory. Most of them have gone through 2 or 3 restorations by now. I personally sent several of these to scrap yards in the early 80's due to rust while doing state inspection.

I also know a guy who disassembled hundreds of base models and broke them down to parts in the late 80's early 90's. You can be mad at him, but he saved a lot of factory parts from the crusher.

I wish you all the luck in the world, but you are not looking for a needle in a haystack cause you're not even sure if the haystack exists.
