Default RS Emblem placement

Hi Guys,
I have a question about my 67 RS clone that I keep scratching my head about. My front wrap around white stripe is well laid out and the spacing from the edge looks fine. The perplexing question is that the RS emblems seem to be placed a little too far towards the front so they are not centered based on the wrap around stripe. The question I have is, are there more than 1 type of RS front fender Emblems where the pin placement on the emblem is in a different location? I asks as I can't imagine someone went through all the trouble to lay out the stripes and not center them around the emblems. Or, could it be that the pin placement on the SS emblems are set further back which would then correct the placement of the emblems against the stripe. I see no evidence on the inside that the holes were drilled so I imagine the fenders came with the holes already in place.

Any thoughts?

That's not correct for whatever reason, goole shows many with the emblem centered in the stripe although most have a gap in the stripe.
Looking at this car I'd say your stripes are off a little to far back.

I can see the stripe being 1/4 off but that still would not put the emblem smack in the middle. I wonder if I will have to manually center and drill new holes.

Looks like more than 1/4" to me,that said if you don't want to replace the stripe new holes may be your only option.

Probably one of the best reference for positioning the nose strip and RS emblems I know of is in the Assembly Manual. A little hard to read, but it can be done. Compare these measurements to see how yours are laid out and you will mostly find the stripes and the emblems are off from the factory specifications.

I think the bumble bee wrap was done wrong. I have a 67 RS and the badges are in the same spot as yours. I had the wrap done with the badges already in place and it came out well.

I agree, I think that the wrap should have been .75 from the edge and it is a little bit more than that.
While I know it annoys me every time I look at it, I will address the other squeaks and rattles first.. Let me ask you this, are your hide-away lights vacuum powered or electric?
I have what looks like a factory set of vacuum powered buckets and nothing else set up which essentially makes them useless and are manual to operate. With that being said I need to find the right kit to install with (hopefully) no fabrication needed. Do you have any suggestions on which kit to go with and who carries the right one?

No motors on my hide away lights, completely manual. Might do something next year but really dont mind them at all.
