replacement antenna

Any body know if some one makes a replacement Antenna that is short ? 4 to 6 inches long. So car cover will fit with out cutting hole.

u can get aftermarket ones. they have shorter ones but they are rubber. Why not just unscrew it when ur putting the cover on it?

I cant find one. So I made one from some stainless at work 6" long. ? if it will work but it fits nice and looks good. Now I need a new radio.
Pain in the *** taking it off and on every time.

A plain 6" piece of metal won't pull much of a signal. An antenna that short requires to be built wit a loading coil in order to pull a decent signal.

what about a power antenna or an "antenna-less" antenna. they usually go above your headliner. gives a way smoother look to the car

Thanks. I think I will cut a hole in the cover.
