Default Pull the engine with the trans or without?

I am ready to remove the subframe in the car. Front clip is off and all wires/hoses/lines are disconnected. Is it best to pull the engine with the trans connected or disconnected? Bear in mind the trans is being replaced at this juncture as well. I have pulled the ignition off the top of the engine already, as it looked likely to break if the engine tilted and squashed it against the firewall. I could leave the engine in the frame and walk it out from the car but I have no room in front of car and the rear is out with the rear of the car on jack stands.

Pulling them both as a unit will be a lot easier and faster than doing it separately. It will also be easier to line up the new trans back onto the engine when it's out of the car.

since you have the front clip off already, I'd pull them as one unit
