Default Obvious FAKE

Number is obviously fake. To much BS going on with it. How can I figure out what it really is? Would an acid solution bring anything out? Block casting number #3932386 works for car. Casting date #K268 is in there, but this stamp is a messed up counterfeit. Assummed that when bought car but would still like to figure out what block belonged to.

Amazing what a little clean up reveals. The first I is definitely different from the second one, narrower top and bottom lines, and another hidden V. The A looks like there might have been metal added below the upper portion, and it's way thicker. On top of that, the code sequence is all wrong. It should have a letter first for the engine plant, V might be correct. Then 4 numbers for the month and the day of week, 2 digits for each. Then a 2 or 3 letter suffix code. At least you went into this with your eyes open, just hope you didn't pay for an "authentic" SS.

According to the bible, Motors Manual, 64-70, HA = 327 & 350 starting in '64 thru '69; BBC's started with I's & J's.
Visit library and/or older garage. I see a faint HH, but its not a 6-cyl, is it?

Yea, V8 motor. Just trying to figure out what old stamping was. Photo shopped heck out of it and couldn't see anything. Between fuel lines, welded exhaust bracket and other misc things. Protecto plate matchs diff & trans. Most numbers are there except motor stamp. correct block casting & date but fake number, Someone went through lot of work for block and then did a crappy job on fake stamping. Noticed it before purchase and fanangled price accordingly. But it woulda been nice having correct block to go with everything else.
