I have a 69 Camaro with Power Disc/Drum. The rear drums are 9.50" and MP Brakes offers a 11" replacement. Has anyone installed this upgraded? I would like to get feedback on the installation and performance. Thanks, John

 

Most folks go with a rear disc brake setup for an upgrade...

 

I agree but I didn't want to go with a disc upgrade because I would need to change the master cylinder and purhaps a line reconfiguration. The 11" drum upgrade works with the current master and should be a direct fit.

 

Yes they are grabbing but not very tightly n I've had to slam them a time or two and it hasn't changed. I think I'm going to rebuild most of the system when it comes time to convert it to a v8

 

The mechanic I bought the rear end from said it was off a 93 3.4 n he wanted to put it on his 98 but he didn't realize the mounts were different after he went through it.
