I getting ready to install my 2.5 inch QTP exhaust cut outs on my 1969 Camaro, installing the cut out part as the electronic ones will be next year. But the only place I can see they will fit is where the exhaust pipe and the H pipe are, where the pipe angles over towards the driveshaft then back to the mufflers. I could put them closer to the headers but the subframe is in the way and I do not want the cut outs hanging lower the they need to be. Anyone have any other option on where to out them. Can the H pipe then be weld some place else like 8 inches closer to the headers. Also, I will need to get new gaskets for the header flange, its been a few year sine I put them in, since the exhaust is 2.5 inches, would the header gasket be 2.5 or 3 inch, they are Hooker Comp.
