It would have to go after the cat to be 100% sure to eliminate problems. I've thought about putting them on mine once I get all the exhaust work done, but I have true duels with two cats, and no sensors to worry about. Honestly, they flat out aren't worth it unless that car is garaged and never gets driven in the rain or they will fail to open in no time .

what year lt1 is it? if its a 96-97, you will throw a code for cat efficiency if you use a cut out before the cat. if its 92-95, you can run a cutout before the cat, but no closer than 8 inches from the o2 sensor. anything closer and it will affect the readings

Why run cut outs, just tune the car to run thru mufflers cause when you open cut outs car will not run the same. I've seen lots of 10 second cars run thru mufflers
