Default Info/reviews on RIDETECH AIRBAR please

Looking for more info/reviews on the ridetech airbar for my 68 camaro. Upgrading my 10 bolt to a ford 9 rear. Anyone have info on the best route to get a rear that already has the proper flanges on it for this set-up? And/or if anyone has used/installed this set-up?

Thank you in advance for any help

I have it as part of my Air Ride system. The biggest issue is trying to get an exhaust to fit with it installed. I ended up making my own and going under the rear axle. Other than that, there is welding involved (welding tabs on axle) and I highly recommend welding the bar to the rear frame vice only the self tapping screws that were provided with mine.

Thank you for the info Taz!

Right now im looking for a company that has the rear end housings specifically setup (tab wise) for this Airbar rather than notching off tabs for the leafspring setup

I got a dana 60 from Strange. The air ride setup still required the spring perches as that's where the shocks connected to. But when I ordered the rear, Strange would have set it up however I wanted, and they were the least expensive of all of the higher end rear ends.

juarch328,

We used a Mosier 12 bolt rear end under the 48 hour Camaro we just built last month. If you have any questions let me know!

Thanks Jeremy. I have the AIRBAR on order for about a week, Summit is still saying it's backordered from RIDETECH until 7-7-11, so hopefully it comes in sooner!

I called moser engineering and they said the best bet would be to order the wheels, fit them in, and then measure the width for precise fit..which i'm doing now.. 20x10 wheels with a 315/35/20 tire arriving soon. Going to be calling moser after I get the measurement for their fabricated M9 with ends and brackets installed, for about $800 delivered.
