Replaced my bad alternator this morning and got one with internal regulator, made it a 1 wire and that works but the generator light stays on when car is started, besides removing the Gen bulb, what choices do I have, I did install an after market oil, temp, and voltage last year so I don't need the Gen light,thanks for helping in advance

 

I believe if you hook the 2 brown wires that went to the regulator to alternator voltage the light will got out. But at that point you have a complete electrical circuit that does nothing and could cause you problems. If you pull the bulb you will have one wire with power to the bulb with juice it in. It is a lot less likely to cause issues down the road.
