fuel guage/ speedometer ???
i cant get the dash lights to work.
the turn indicators work and the dome light will work when you turn the light switch. head ,parking and tail all work just not the dash lights
i bought a new ac delco head light switch, now the turn indicators wont work and still no dash lights
ah yes i checked every bulb and they are ok.
how many hot wires are in the cluster that plugs into the fuel guage/ spedo unit? i found two
i did a continunity test on the circit board and i think it is ok

I know you said you checked every bulb but did you check the fuse? I think it is a 4amp fuse???
If I'm understanding the question right, on the speedo/ gas gauge cluster, there should be a bulb for each gauge, so two would be correct.

If I were you, a lot of times checking for continuity can be misleading. You can get some feedback from another source that makes it look like things are ok.
Checking for voltage is a lot better then checking continuity. This way you know what you have.
What I'd do is get a wiring diagram for your car, then at the headlight switch, you said you got headlights so you know you got power coming into the switch, I'd check at the plug going into the back of the switch, find the proper color for the dash lights, then make sure your getting 12v's coming out to the dash.
If so, move onto the bulb sockets and make sure they are all getting a 12v source as well.
It could be you just got a bad ground somewhere or the wire coming off the switch is bad or loose.
Good luck.

to make a long story short, the circut board was not making contact with the plug. that fixed the turn indicators. still no dash lights. i drilled 2 holes in the housing, one over the fuel guage and one over the speedometer. i had two lights from the oil and temp guage (manual guages), inserted them into the holes and wired them to a hot spot in the fuse box when the headlights were on
