Carb help for 327
Can anyone help me with the correct jetting for my 327. It's stock displacement with camel hump heads, comp cam 265, performer intake, and thorley headers. I just put a quick fuel 4150 600cfm mech. sec. carb on and it seems to be running rough, possibly rich?
Thanks

People spend years getting good at seting up carbs, you really think someone can tell you how to do in a post?
Also there are a lot of things that can cause the carb to be rich at idle. Is it rich all the time? just on accelration? Is the float level right?
If you are done modifying your car find a shop that still tunes these cars on a dyno. it will be the best $250-$300 you have ever spent.

Start the engine, then walk to the back of the car and sit down about 5-6 feet behind the tailpipe for a minute.
Do you get a strong pungent odor that also makes your eyes burn? If so, you're running rich at idle.

I consider myself adequate at tuning my carbs, but wouldn't begin to suggest a certain jet size for your 327. Most the time the stock jetting does well, but it's not a miracle cure to change jets and lean out idle. Could be anything from jets, power valves, float levels, timing, too much fuel pressure, etc. that can all cause rich idle.
