RE: body work
why go with solder?
it really is an obsolete craft. yes, Coddington does it but that is just for the **** people anyway. stay with modern materials and I think you'll be a lot happier with the way they react with the new paints and primers

RE: body work
the way I see it is that all these other body fillers are compared to lead, "closest thing to lead" and what not. so I am going to take my time and to it all the right way. It has been a while but I am not scared to get out the torch and files and have a little fun with it. Again I am asking if anyone has used the lead free solder?? You can sand this type and it is supposedly harder as well when it is done.

RE: body work
I think it's great when someone uses old school methods of stuff but why do you want to do it when there are so much better ways to do it?
they just used to lead whan they didn't know better. just curious

RE: body work
The only way I have ever done body work was with lead... it has been a while but I dont think that there is a better way, there may be easier ways.....Maybe I will try some of the new stuff you guys use after i do the first fender... i just like the idea of my car being 100% metal no plastic or fiberglass or bondo. I am sure some of you understand where I am coming from.
