For one, the horn relay connection is an easy one to overlook, especially if the horn is working. I would check the connections I mentioned (and everything under the hood), and not just go by what the shop said. There's also no guarantee that they didn't mess something up either. I presume you have a one-wire alternator? Do you have a volt gauge, and what does it read when the engine is running? If the alternator isn't self-regulating, it could be overcharging, and overheating the battery.

I will have to pick up a volt gauge and will check everything you said. I really appreciate your help.

Agree with replies above. Suggest getting your charging system checked. Free at autozone or advance auto parts.
